In 2016\/17 Sheffield Hallam gave more students from neighbourhoods with historically low numbers going on to higher education the chance to study than any other university in the UK.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We drive opportunity. <strong>41% of Sheffield Hallam students<\/strong> come from low income households<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We create success. <strong>93% of our graduates<\/strong> are in work or further study within six months of graduating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We develop the education workforce of tomorrow.\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">From early years through to higher education, Sheffield Hallam provides over <strong>1,000 qualified\u00a0teachers each year<\/strong> to the education system regionally and nationally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">What next?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The University has committed to improving education across South Yorkshire through its ground-breaking social mobility partnership: <a href=\"https:\/\/southyorkshirefutures.co.uk\/syf\/?doing_wp_cron=1538685651.9129259586334228515625\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>South Yorkshire Futures<\/strong>.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The flagship project is backed by the Department for Education and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www4.shu.ac.uk\/mediacentre\/city-region-mayor-support-south-yorkshire-futures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sheffield City Region Elected Mayor Dan Jarvis MP<\/a>.
